Own your face.
Let's talk about our faces.
Their weird arent they like many holes and random stuff is poking out ranging in all sizes, shapes, and colours.
Most of us would probably change something about our faces. We either think our noses are too big, our skin has too many blemishes, our foreheads are too big, the eyes are too small and so on and so forth.
The beauty of our faces though is that no one has your face. There are 7.7 billion people (I googled that obviously) in the world and you're the only person with your face. We are so individual and that should make us feel beautiful.
But it doesn't.
We still wear makeup, wax our bodies, decorate them in tattoos and have surgery to make our selves the beautiful person we want to be. What makes that beautiful though?
I am that girl who can go work with no makeup with no problem but, on a night out I feel as if I have made myself known for wearing extreme clothe and makeup that I have to live up to it. I could never imagine myself going out in jeans and just mascara. If I did, people would definitely think I was ill or down for not trying like I usually do.
No one has ever made me wear makeup or wear the clothes that I do. I don't do it to rebel or make a statement. Its just part of me the same as my eyes and nose are part of me. How I decorate myself is something that naturally is part of me too.
However, I do believe that people around you, events going on, social media and other factors do take a huge part in what you like about yourself, what you want to change, makeup, clothe, etc.
Though when people put the full blame on social media, I think that's just doing the blame game when we all have very strong brains that we are capable of not being fully manipulated by social media.
Stop playing the blame, take some ownership.
If you want to wear makeup, different clothes. You want tattoos or no tattoos. You want surgery to make your nose smaller or you want fake eyes lashes to make your eyes bigger. Not because anyone else has made you feel this way. It's your face, your body, and your rules.
